Unlike a designer, who is only engaged in decorative design, an architect designs a structure entirely, the range of his duties and area of responsibility is much wider. He not only draws up a project and makes estimates, but most often personally supervises the construction, and in addition to this, the solution of formal issues and all documentation also lies with him.
This profession is a great option for a creative person, but at the same time it requires deep theoretical and practical knowledge in a variety of areas: an architect must have excellent knowledge of construction mechanics, physics, chemistry, be well versed in geology and mineralogy, and in addition to this, also be knowledgeable in jurisprudence.
