In decor, you can never go too far, so the decorator has to find some pretty clever tricks. On the one hand, you need to make it as beautiful, functional and expensive as possible, and on the other hand, spend as little as possible and do without major changes.
The designer-decorator and founder of the Designbox bureau has compiled a short guide that will help improve any space without renovation and huge investments. It is suitable even for rented apartments, where it is difficult to change the decor radically.
In rented housing or small apartments, they often try to add as much functionality as possible: 6 sq. m fits a kitchen, a laundry room, and sometimes a work area for children. You can add aesthetics to each zone.
Standard plastic boxes in a children’s room make the decor cheap and too simple. Instead, you can buy the children an old chest or wooden carts on wheels – this is both functional and beautiful.
The apartment is monochromatic, and you can’t change the furniture or there is no money? No problem! Buy a colorful shelving unit (or paint an existing one) and add some color and brightness to a boring interior.
You can also make interesting changes to existing furniture – repaint old chairs or update an old IKEA table.
