Those who make repairs in the apartment are putting in order and ceiling. Now the best solution to make it in a modern style is the imposition of a stretch ceiling. In most cases, they cause installation specialists for this purpose, but it costs considerable means. You can try to install a stretch ceiling yourself.
The installation of a stretch ceiling is best done with the assistant. To complete the task, we will need tools, namely: a drill, a screwdriver, screws, plastic dowels, a special ceiling spatula, a construction hair dryer and a stepladder.
Before the start of any work, the room should first be cleaned of dust. Then you need to take the mounting profile and stick it to the walls around the entire perimeter of the room. At the same time, you need to ensure that the profile sticks horizontally. You do this using the level. Next, you need to cut at the junction of the corners of the edges of the profile at an angle of forty -five degrees. This is done so that the compounds sit tight.
After the glue dries, the profile should be screwed with self -tapping screws for greater reliability. They should be screwed into pre -prepared (drilled) holes with an approximate step of seven centimeters. Self -tapping screws at the joints and in corner formations must be attached at a distance of about two centimeters from the edge.
Then you need to deploy the canvas and attach it to the profile for a while. At the same time, it is better to start the work with the center of the wall, while the spatula is used, but the edges of the canvas, respectively, should hang freely behind the profile. The whole canvas is attached by this principle.
It is important to ensure that the distance between the points of fastening is no more than eighty centimeters. After that, pull the canvas from the middle of the wall to the corners. This process is performed until the canvas is distributed evenly on the ceiling. Free edges, as a rule, should be approximately the same width.
In the last turn, you need to fix the fabric in the corners so that about twenty centimeters have to be on one side. At the end, folds and wrinkles should be straightened using a building hair dryer. Free edges need to be carefully cut off with a sharp knife along the lower part of the decorative bar.
When using a construction hair dryer, you need to keep it at a distance of at least twenty centimeters from the ceiling. And to warm up the necessary places on the ceiling should be in circular movements.
