Most people do not even know their characteristics during the choice and purchase of plastic windows. They rely on the good faith of the seller and the manufacturer, because it is very difficult to determine the quality of the quality. Also, many are trying to save on this. But it should be borne in mind that plastic windows of poor quality will fail very quickly and can even harm the owners of the apartment or house.
What you should know when buying plastic windows?
First of all, the seller or manufacturer should ask what material they are made of, and if the plastic mixture of secondary production was used in the manufacture of windows. Such a mixture is usually made from waste: bottles, bags, containers, boxes that could be used anywhere – they are easily melted and sent to the production of windows. For such plastic windows, prices are much lower than all others, therefore, they are in demand among our compatriots. Typically, such windows have a grayish tint, which is hidden using a white PVC layer. These windows may contain hazardous chemicals, so they are dangerous to health.
You should also find out if heat is added to the plastic – or frost -resistant additives. If there are no one, the buyer risks completely losing the windows in heavy heat or in severe frosts. In addition, the window profile must be reinforced so that the entire window is stiff enough. Check this is easy: before installation, you can drill a hole from the end. If there are metal tracks in the chips, then everything is fine.
Pay attention to the work of the installation masters. Carefully view the windows for the presence of holes and cracks. The valves should also work well, and the window should be installed tightly and hard.
