Among the many advantages of suspended ceilings, one of the most important ones is ease of care. The exception is only stretch ceilings in the bathroom, where the surface is constantly polluted from spray of water, as well as in the kitchen, where a layer of soot is formed over time. In these rooms to maintain cleanliness behind the ceiling, it is necessary to take care of. There is nothing complicated, but there are still certain rules that must be observed.
Basic rules for leaving stretch ceilings
Most importantly – do not use hard sponges and brushes in the care of the stretch ceiling. Select a flannel rag or foam sponge. This will protect the surface from damage and gaps, thereby extend the life of the ceiling coating.
Before starting cleaning, it is recommended to remove all the jewelry from the hands. This will protect the surface of the ceiling from unnecessary scratches and damage.
When washing suspended ceilings, abrasive products, soda and any solutions containing solid particles or acetone are not allowed. Such funds can scratch the material and spoil its appearance.
If you need to clean the surface of ordinary water splashes, just take a foam sponge for dishes, warm water and a dry microfiber napkin that will help avoid stains on the ceiling. If there is fat on the surface, then any soap solution is added to the water: detergent for dishes, liquid soap or a special tool for washing suspended ceilings.
Cleaning is carried out with light circular motions without additional pressure to the surface.
In the sleeping or hallway, it will be enough to clean the stretch ceilings no more than once a year, since they have a special coating and do not attract dust.
